Jeff's Boogie
10. Why Should I Care

This release captures the concert held at the Osaka Koseinenkin Hall on May 18, 1973, during the band's first Japan tour following the release of their album in March of that year. While an official Japan-exclusive release covering the 1973 Osaka shows exists, that version is an edited compilation of the two performances held on May 18 and 19; in contrast, this item presents the complete, unedited recording of the May 18 show. Because the official release was edited without regard for the actual setlist, it fails to fully convey the excitement and atmosphere of the concert. As this tour followed the album's release, the band performed eight tracks from it: "Black Cat Moan," "Lady," "Superstition," "Sweet Sweet Surrender," "Why Should I Care," "Lose Myself With You," "Livin' Alone," and "I'm So Proud." Being their first tour in Japan, the band members were highly motivated and full of energy. Jeff Beck’s guitar work is razor-sharp, and the solos by Tim Bogert and Carmine Appice are incredibly powerful, making for a magnificent performance. For fans, it is a superb live recording—featuring moments like Tim shouting "Nagoya" during the MC, despite the show taking place in Osaka. Bonus tracks include six songs from a 1972 concert in Belgium. Regarding sound quality, it is an audience recording that captures the rhythm section clearly, offering a stable listening experience throughout.

https://worldmusiclover.com/de/products/beck-bogert-appice-japan-tour-1973-osaka-show-one-osaka-kohseinenkin-hall-2cdr
