Apparently, he was a Mormon, married a German woman, converted to Jehovah's Witnesses in her family's household, and left the group. With Malcolm Mooney and Damo Suzuki having left, Can was almost entirely an instrumental band during this period due to a lack of a stable vocalist. The occasional vocals heard are by guitarist Michael Karoli. All the songs from their masterpiece album \"Soon Over Babaluma,\" released during that period, are performed here. Of course, they're not exactly the same as the album versions. The popular \"Dizzy Dizzy\" is a must-listen, and you can enjoy a different performance each time. Can at this time is reminiscent of The Velvet Underground's \"Sister Ray,\" with its long, driving energy, and acid, danceable, and groovy performances infused with ideas from their mastermind, Holger Czukay. It's also recommended as an introduction for those who have never been familiar with Krautrock. It's an audience recording, but the gaps between songs have been cut and the hiss noise has been removed as much as possible through remastering, so if it weren't for the occasional applause heard nearby, you might mistake it for a board recording.
