Steve Winwood, a member of the band Traffic at the time, participated in the recording, contributing to a rare \"Blues Version\" improvisation session of \"Voodoo Chile.\" Listening to this material, one gets a vivid sense of the extensive number of takes Jimi Hendrix went through to perfect the track.
