This audience recording captures the dream collaboration between Elvis Costello, who recently made an emotional visit to Japan, and legendary Southern singer and producer Allen Toussaint at the Bonnaroo Festival on June 17, 2006. The recording features a balanced mix of New Orleans standards, Alan's songs, and Costello's own compositions from their collaborative album, "The River in Reverse." Thanks to Costello's initiative to create a requiem album for the hurricane that struck New Orleans, it's thrilling to hear Allen Toussaint's vocals and piano playing live!
