The longest live performance of the tour was in Paris on July 12, 1988. The performance lasted a whopping 175 minutes, nearly three hours, and was an unprecedented performance that poured everything Prince wanted to explore on the Lovesexy tour. Unfortunately, this performance had never been released before. The taper who owned the original recording asked a fellow trader to remaster it, and it has now been leaked, finally making it available for release! Certainly, some traders owned the tape in the past, including Uptown. However, that tape was incomplete, lasting 135 minutes, and had very poor sound quality. The newly unearthed tape is from a younger generation, and is almost completely recorded. However, according to the taper who recorded it, he almost got caught by security, so he moved locations and somehow managed to record the entire thing. This meant that the sound quality varied, and even this unearthed tape's quality was not up to snuff in some areas. The remastering was carried out to the best of its quality, including level correction, equalizing the left and right channels, and noise reduction. The result is a much improved sound quality, more than sufficient. Because this is the best live performance, we're grateful to the tapers for their dedication! It's truly a remarkable achievement to be able to hear the most amazing live performance from the Lovesexy tour! First of all, the performances are generally longer, with Eric Leeds including a sax solo on \"Blues in C,\" and the extended performance of \"Anna Stesia\"! This must be the complete first set from Lovesexy! The second set began with Cross The Line, and the highlight was the appearance of Alphabet St., the band familiar from the encore, in the first half of the set. They also performed I Wish U Heaven\/God Is Alive for a long 12 minutes, a perfect call-and-response with the audience, a truly outstanding performance! And then there was the 11-minute Purple Rain! There was no compromise in the performance. And now it gets even more amazing! The third set began with a full 8-minute performance of the astonishingly rare Positivity. Yes, from this point on, it was more of a set than an encore. Normally, Alphabet St., or even that, wouldn't even be played... but this is the full picture of the Lovesexy tour as originally planned! The grand finale of the set, Lovesexy, could have ended there, but instead, they performed a stunning premiere medley of '80s hits, followed by It's Gonna Be A Beautiful Night, a much more powerful version of the final jam from the Sign O The Times tour, followed by Chain Of Fools, and finally It's Gonna Be A Beautiful Night! It was a long jam reminiscent of Miles Davis's New Year's Eve '87 performance! Ultimately, this live performance was a super special hyper-live show that showcased everything they could play on the Lovesexy tour, taking advantage of the best parts of Sign O The Time!\u003c\/p\u003e","brand":"purpletown","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":52444084404540,"sku":null,"price":54.0,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0956\/5801\/7084\/files\/7246421d41f81018ddf1fbda4de29cef.jpg?v=1763085902","url":"https:\/\/worldmusiclover.com\/es\/products\/prince-the-sun-came-up-this-morning-3cdr","provider":"WORLD MUSIC LOVER","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
