This is a studio live recording of the Butterfield Blues Band, led by Poole Butterfield, considered one of the greatest white bluesmen of all time. The soundboard recording features instruments panned left and right with the vocals centered. While this is a somewhat lesser-known period for the Butterfield Blues Band, without Mike Bloomfield or Elvin Bishop, it's a valuable recording featuring David Sanborn. The album leans towards a brass section with saxophone and trumpet, but the relatively unknown guitarist, Ralph Wash, makes a significant impact, doing excellent work throughout.
