The late 2009 East Asian pilgrimage, planned for four shows (one in Taiwan, one in Korea, and two in Japan), featured some highlights, including the first official tour supporting the album \"Chinese Democracy\" and the introduction of new guitarist DJ Ashba to the Gunners. However, the economic downturn at the time held back the show, leading to a disappointing start. However, the eternally charismatic Axl Rose didn't let the dismal conditions deter him! Due to equipment issues, the show started well past its scheduled start time, and the venue finally went dark around 9 PM, marking the beginning of the \"legendary tour's first act.\" It was a spectacular three-hour rock show featuring both classic and modern hits, and in the second half, Axl even \"spontaneously\" broke into the set with \"Whole Lotta Rosie\"!
