After changing his name, Prince had a flurry of new material, but was unable to produce a satisfactory album to showcase it. In reaction, he embarked on the Ultimate Live Experience Tour, a tour of Europe exclusively featuring new material. Plans for a Japan tour after this were scrapped. This release unearths and releases unreleased recordings from this tumultuous live performance. The Manchester shows on March 11th and 10th, 1995, boast excellent sound quality, featuring a furious performance starting with "Endorphin Machine," followed by a funky cover of "Sex Machine," the melancholic melody of "I Love U In Me," "Get Wild," and even Gold, which featured developments not seen in the 1996 Japan tour.
