This is an audience recording from a performance at the 1989 Atlanta Jazz Festival. The day was infamous for Taper's tiff with security during the opening song, "In a Silent Way." It was recorded from a reasonably good vantage point, and the performance was well-captured. However, the somewhat veiled, muffled sound was smoothed out during remastering, resulting in a much clearer recording. However, if there's one downside, it's the rather noisy surrounding audience. This negative factor contributes to the album jacket's graciously subdued "Very Good" rating.
