One Nite Alone Tour

The ONA tour was Prince's final. What was the best live performance of that tour? It would probably be the Sendai Zepp concert. It might even be better than the Parade tour's first visit to Japan. The Sendai performance was released as an audience recording, but this time, the recording has been completely remastered and released. This ultimate album takes what was previously a less-than-stellar recording to new heights with modern remastering technology! From the cool jazzy jam opening to Xenophobia, this show was anything but ordinary. With the debut of Nikka Costa's "Push and Pull," The Everlasting Now, and Purple Rain, Prince and his band unleashed a completely unexpected setlist. Finally, just when you thought it was all over, they interjected with "Days of Wild" by Boochie, bringing the set to a climax. Finally, with "Anna Stesia" and "Rise Up," it seemed like a quiet end, but then the shocking "Days of Wild" was thrown in, complete with "Boochie's Bootzilla." Prince appeared on stage alone with his guitar and performed an acoustic version of the ultimate emotional tune, "Last December"!
