The Act I tour took place from March to April 1993. In some ways, this small-scale American tour is often overlooked, overshadowed by the later European Act II tour. Around 1993, bootleg CDs were in their infancy, and European bootleggers seemed to be releasing the Act II tour, where recordings were easier to obtain. However, there were still few releases from the "Love Symbol" album, and recordings between trades have yet to be fully unearthed. Meanwhile, we've unearthed and released a completely new audience recording. This recording, originally kept secret by a very small number of traders, has finally been released after a unique remastering. Although it's an audience recording, the balance is excellent, almost giving the illusion of a loud, cheering soundboard recording, making it one of the best recordings from the Act I tour. And ACT! While most of the Act I tour dates have not been bootlegged, the setlist varied considerably. This unreleased April 6th Chicago performance featured the rare Irresistible Bitch, and for some reason, I'll Take U There. Later, NPG's Black MF In The House and Gold Nigga, which would later be performed at the aftershow, featured a riff on Loose! from the then-unreleased Come album, and the jam on Baby I'm A Star was a special jam featuring themes from Push and Peter Gunn. What makes Act I fundamentally different from Act II is that the first half of the set was entirely composed of songs from the Love Symbol album. This is quite different from Act II, which featured a live performance of hits, perhaps due to the Prince retirement scandal, and it's why the Act I tour feels like a rare setlist. The Act I tour allows you to enjoy live versions of songs from the Love Symbol album. This US Act allows you to experience their splendor with superb sound quality. This special edition, titled "Lovesymbol 2010," was released, allowing viewers to enjoy the album "Lovesymbol" from a different angle, and includes a collection of remixes of the singles "My Name Is Prince" and "Sexy MF," including promo mixes. The album "Lovesymbol" was originally released as a CDR made from acetate vinyl, but this release, including those, makes for a fantastic alternate album that takes remixes into consideration! The opening begins with an intro inspired by the promotional video, followed by a completely unexpected opening track by "My Name Is Prince." Sexy MF also features a brilliant alternate version that cleverly incorporates a remix version. The Max, The Continental, and The Flow also feature brilliant alternate remixes with clever effects. Damn U features an elegant version with Eric Leeds' saxophone that will give you goosebumps, and "7" features the promo-only "After 6 Long." The album is packed with intricately crafted versions. The segues are subtly altered, and the ending is completely unexpected. It's a fresh interpretation, yet a meticulous and delicate mix that fully captures Prince's heart. It's a truly remarkable album that will blow your mind! The remixes for Sexy MF and My Name Is Prince don't overlap with those on Lovesymbol 2010, and even the remixes from acetates have been remastered. The various remixes officially available have been organized and included, making this a compilation album perfect for exploring these two important Lovesymbol tracks.
