This professional, high-quality recording captures the entire November 24th Budokan performance, which prompted Eric's tour manager, the promoter accompanying Eric, and drummer Steve Jordan, the rhythmic backbone of Eric's band, to declare, "This is the highlight of the first half of the Budokan concert!!" The breathtaking sound quality, unique to front-row recording, clearly captures the vibration and attack of the snare drum, the lingering reverberations of the cymbals, and the vibration and pulsation of the strings on the acoustic set. Eric's many signature phrases are nowhere to be seen on this day, and his unique rhythm and phrasing pop out throughout, creating a truly compelling performance. The careful yet bold exchange of phrases gave it a different feel from other Nippon Budokan performances, and if you had to choose one performance from the first half of the Budokan, it would definitely be this one on November 24th, given the play and individual tension. Also included as bonus tracks are "BEFORE YOU ACCUSE ME," which was dropped from the set in place of "ANY DAY" from the November 21st performance, and a different arrangement of "CROSSROADS."
