This limited edition 2-CD set features the complete live performance at Nippon Budokan on December 10th from Clapton & Winwood's 2011 Japan tour, recorded in superb audience quality, making it the definitive edition!
The 2011 Japan tour, which included 13 shows at eight locations across the country, finally reached its final performance. The first total lunar eclipse in 11 years was observed across Japan on the night of the tour. After a two-day break, the fifth performance at the sacred Budokan was a fitting finale, featuring a series of exquisite performances, meticulously executed, as if savoring every note. This exceptional recording captures the entire performance of this, arguably the most important show of the tour, in "ultimate high-quality sound." The XAVEL label has released must-listen albums with outstanding sound quality for all six shows, including the four days in Yokohama, Hiroshima, and at the Budokan. But this final show stands head and shoulders above the rest with its astonishing sound quality! The original XAVEL label master, recorded from the prime position of the front row in the center block of Arena A, has been digitally remastered in 24-bit, capturing the realistic live sound of the instruments with overwhelming sound pressure and the sound from the PA speakers installed onstage in perfect balance, resulting in a miraculous sound that will bring tears to fans' eyes as they experience true "sound closeness." The recording environment is also superb, with no annoying audience noise! This miraculous sound quality can be declared "the pinnacle of audience recordings"!
As a bonus track, "Midland Maniac," from the opening night of the Budokan concert on December 2nd, which was only performed on that day in Tokyo, has been added.
