While the Jackson 5, the predecessor to The Jacksons, featured famous songs with Michael's vocals when he was still a child, this live performance showcases his mature vocals. The combination of funky rhythms and Michael's adult vocals creates a cool sound unique to this period. Although it's a soundboard recording, the original master had a harsh, high-frequency-heavy vocal sound, which has been improved through remastering for easier listening.
