However, Fun With Vinyl is particular about the sound. The recordings were played on a Technics SL-1200MK2 record player, then passed through a Yamaha RX-Z1 audio\/video receiver and recorded onto a Sony PCM-R300 DAT tape. The audio was then imported to a PC using a Turtle Beach Catalina sound card and Cool Edit Pro software, where it was remastered, including removing clicks, and converted into digital WAV files. The sound quality is top-notch. Another groundbreaking feature is the inclusion of edited versions not previously included in the Anthology series, as well as B-sides that were omitted because Prince was deemed not to have been involved.
