The Beatles made their US debut with the single "Please Please Me" in February 1963, one year before their sensational US debut in 1964. Initially released on a minor label and barely a hit, their popularity in the UK sparked Capitol's release of the single "I Want to Hold Your Hand," leading to numerous US-specific releases of singles and albums. The "Complete Beatles US Singles Collection" presents all US singles released from 1963 through the 1990s in chronological order, featuring the original recordings. Known for their numerous mix variations, the collection also includes rare items from other labels, promos, and unreleased items. Unlike current CD remasters, this disc features direct recordings from the original vinyl masters, including rare tracks never before released on CD. The CD jacket and inner lining features a photo of the original master sleeve, making it a truly collector's item.

Featuring a total of 47 tracks spanning the Beatles' career from the 1970s through 1996, including singles like "Got to Get You Into My Life/Helter Skelter" from the Capitol-sponsored album "Rock on Roll Music"; "Ob Ladi, Ob Lada/Julia," which, like the White Album, was limited edition; the 1982 "Beatles Movie Medley," which was a hot topic but never released on CD; "Girl/Love Advice" from the canceled "Love Songs"; "Leave My Kittin' Alone" from "The Sessions"; and even rare flexi disc recordings.
