Two and a half years after their Budokan performance in January 2008, this performance from "Summer Sonic 2010" marks their first visit to Japan in a long time, and it's been completely recorded with ultra-high-quality audience sound! The setlist, which began with the Psycho Theme, featured selections from last year's new album, "Black Clouds & Silver Linings," and also included "Prophets of War" from their previous album, "Systematic Chaos." The encore featured a suite of classics, from "Pull Me Under" to "Metropolis Pt. 1," bringing the summer festival to a close with thunderous cheers. While LaBrie's vocals sounded a bit over-the-top and a bit out of focus, this release, capturing Petrucci, Rudes, Portnoy, and Myung's superhuman performance with Metal Hammer's signature crisp sound, is a must-have for any fan.
