☆High-bitrate Blu-ray video using XAVEL label's original, superb sound master for the audio.
☆A supreme audience recording boasting perfect balance, recorded using the finest MK4 microphones at the venue's best acoustic sweet spot.
☆Superb sound quality that can be described as "another definitive version" of the April 14th opening night performance. Superb sound that can only be heard on this Blu-ray.
Live at Budokan 2025, a whirlwind of 8 performances. The April 14th opening night stage is fully recorded with original audience shots. This Blu-ray is from Alexander, the video division of XAVEL label.
The video itself is the same content as the DVD included with the limited edition pressed CD released earlier, but you can enjoy the picture quality that takes advantage of Blu-ray's high bitrate. This must-see original video captures the entire stage stably from the front of the first-floor stands. While the low light levels slightly compromise clarity, the unobstructed, stress-free viewing experience is a major draw.
However, the biggest selling point of this release, despite being a video item, lies in its audio. Specifically, this video uses another audience master recorded from the same position as the previously released pressed CD, allowing you to enjoy the entire live performance with superb sound that can only be experienced with this release. The differences in sound character between this and the previously released pressed CD can be summarized as follows:
◎Previously released pressed CD (omnidirectional microphone + line source) = greater sense of presence (+ audience noise). Clearer vocal definition. A clean, bass-heavy sound. The mid-range frequencies, including the fundamental tones and lower harmonics of guitar and bass, are somewhat muted.
◎This Blu-ray video (MK4 unidirectional microphone) = less sense of presence (+ audience noise). A thick sound with excellent mid-range reproduction. The superb tone of the guitar sound, in particular, is noteworthy and can only be achieved by using this microphone in this position.
