This recording is from Gillan's 1980 European tour, specifically the UK performance. After the Ian Gillan Band disbanded in 1978, the band restarted under the name GILLAN with new members. The performance recorded on this item is from their European tour immediately following the release of "Glory Road" in 1980, featuring the talented young guitarist Bernie Tormé. You can enjoy Ian's shouts reminiscent of his Deep Purple days and Bernie Tormé's genius guitar playing.
