This is certainly a title that aims to include a complete collection of Prince's recordings, both vinyl and CD. But Fun With Vinyl is particular about sound. The recordings were played on a Technics SL-1200MK2 record player and then recorded to DAT tape on a Sony PCM-R300 via a Yamaha RX-Z1 audio/video receiver. The audio was then imported to a PC using a Turtle Beach Catalina sound card and Cool Edit Pro software, where it was remastered, including the removal of clicks, and converted to digital WAV files. The sound quality is of the highest order. Another groundbreaking feature is the inclusion of edited versions not previously included in the Anthology series, as well as B-sides that were omitted because Prince was not involved. It also includes artists with connections to Prince, both before and after him, though not all of them were involved with Prince.

This latest volume, Volume 10, is divided into Parts 1, 2, and 3. It features albums and remixes written and produced by Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis.

Part 2 features Janet Jackson, a Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis producer! A 12-inch mix of the single from her smash hit "Control"!
And then there's Patti Austin, a member of Quincy Jones's gang, with Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis producing the entire version of "The Heat Of Heat," which is particularly impressive.
The band that was producing Prince was late, which infuriated him, and the band that was with him at the time was the S.O.S. Band. This remix of this powerful classic is also fantastic.
