This recording captures the live performance from October 6, 2013, at the Sands Event Center in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, during Jeff Beck's US tour. It documents Jeff's set from the collaborative tour with Brian Wilson of The Beach Boys. You can enjoy a sharp, superb performance by Jeff Beck, who had launched a full-scale tour in 2013 following a charity concert. With a lineup change—replacing all backing members except bassist Rhonda Smith and adding a keyboardist/guitarist and a violinist—the performance sounds surprisingly fresh, making even familiar songs feel like new material. Jeff's own playing is magnificent as always, and the audience listens in rapt silence while he plays. For the encore, the full lineup—including members of The Beach Boys, the Brian Wilson Band, and the Jeff Beck Band—performs Beach Boys hits, creating a high-energy, exciting atmosphere. It is a thoroughly enjoyable concert. Regarding sound quality, although it is an audience recording, it is of excellent quality; the sound is clear and immersive, and the overall audio is very stable.
