This is a soundboard recording from the Los Angeles show of the 1985 US tour, which accompanied the release of the debut album by The Firm—a "supergroup" that formed in 1985 and disbanded after about a year and a half. Formed by Jimmy Page (post-Led Zeppelin) and the powerhouse vocalist Paul Rodgers (of Free and Bad Company), the band garnered massive attention and achieved great success during its brief lifespan before disbanding in late 1986; it has since attained legendary status. The audio quality here is impeccable—truly superb. The sound is best described as a perfect blend of Led Zeppelin and Bad Company, impressing the listener with its stability and high level of polish. Rather than one member dominating the sound, Jimmy Page and Paul Rodgers play seamlessly as a unified group; this sense of cohesion generates a powerful energy, resulting in a top-tier performance. The sound quality is truly outstanding. The Firm released only two studio albums and are rarely seen on the bootleg market; given that this is a soundboard recording of such a magnificent performance, it is surely an essential item for any collector.
