This trio has been around since the late '80s, and while the lineup has changed frequently since 1991, Dominic DiPiazza has remained a fixture on bass, and percussionist Trilok Gurtu, a native of Bombay, India, who frequently collaborates with ECM musicians, not only showcases each member's advanced playing technique, but also creates a unique ensemble that exudes a wide range of musicality.

The band was on a European tour around this time, and although the date has not been specified, this is a must-listen live performance, recorded on a high-quality soundboard that is believed to be a local broadcast source!
