On August 17, 2014, the annual summer tradition "Summer Sonic" held in Tokyo on the second day, closing out the Mountain Stage, is now available on the XAVEL label with stunning quality that lives up to expectations!
Summer Sonic 2014 was a three-day weekend, including the pre-show "Sonic Mania." Many fans were thrilled by the dramatic setting of our band Craftwerk, who both opened and closed the Mountain Stage at Makuhari Messe. This item captures the moving live performance that concluded "Summer Sonic 2014" in its entirety, with superb audience recording and exceptionally stable, high-quality audience shots!
The XAVEL label recorded the live performances of the band's 2013 solo Japan tour, featuring eight nights of different sets at Akasaka Blitz, with astonishingly high-quality sound that surpasses even soundboard recordings. Now, they've also completely captured their 2014 Japan tour with "that" gem of sound quality, boasting a direct and incredibly wide range. This time, it even comes with video! A bonus DVD includes exclusive footage using the original source by XAVEL's video team, Alexander! It perfectly captures every song, from the opening "The Robot" to Ralph's exit scene in the final "Musique Non Stop"! From the perfect position in the center of the PA table, the four members and the screen behind them are captured, providing both stability and impact. There were certainly some disappointing aspects to this concert, such as the shortened festival set and the lack of 5.1ch surround sound, but the remix arrangements had been slightly changed since their last visit to Japan in 2013, and additional elements could be seen throughout the video, so this is a must-see item not only for fans who were able to make it to the venue, but also for fans who didn't feel like making it to Makuhari in the middle of the night on Sunday!
