Michael Schenker Group This item couples audio and video recordings from 1980 and 1981. In the latter half of 1980, MSG was formed with the then-popular drummer Cozy Powell, and after the release of their studio album, they held a Japanese tour which was officially released. However, this item features a complete recording of the Budokan performance, lasting approximately 97 minutes. While the official release was only about 76 minutes long, Red Tapes Budokan allows you to fully enjoy the band's energy, rawness, and other realism from that day. The bonus track includes 11 songs from an alternative SBD source of the Budokan performance, which is also interesting as it shows how artists record live performances and how many repairs and edits are made before the product is released. The live performance in Derby, England, in September 1980, is a performance recording from before MSG began recording the album "Myth," and consists mostly of songs such as UFO. It is a valuable live recording from shortly after the band's formation. The Proshot DVD features footage from a concert held in Hamburg in January 1981, and is one of the few remaining live recordings from Cozy Powell's time with the band. It has been carefully restored and edited to widescreen format. The archive tapes cover MSG's performances from 1980 to 1981, when Cozy Powell was a member. The sound quality of the Red Tapes Budokan and Red Tapes Derby recordings, while audience recordings, is comparable to line recordings, resulting in consistently high-quality sound.
