From Kevin's solo tour of Japan in February 2013, the February 8th performance, the middle day of the three Tokyo shows, was completely recorded with a full matrix of premium audience and IEM sources. All three Tokyo shows from this tour have already been released on the XAVEL label as powerful, high-quality audience recordings. This release features a carefully crafted mix of the IEM sources, some of which were also included as bonus tracks on each of those titles, carefully mixed with the audience source for a truly satisfying listening experience.
The audience source realistically captures the overwhelming sound pressure and noise, aptly described as "thunderous," while the IEM source clearly captures the midrange, centered on guitar and vocals. The combination of these two sources brings out Kevin's vocals, which were often lost in the audience recording, in the best possible balance, while the clarity of the bass drum, snare, and bass is dramatically improved. In the first half up to "Honey Power", the tone of the IEM source guitar changes rapidly, which may make it a little hard to listen to, but after that you can enjoy the superb sound of a stable soundboard recording.
