This release features the second show of Paul Gilbert's collaborative concert with The Les Paul Trio, held in New York City on January 18, 2013. Performed at the intimate Iridium Jazz Club, the close proximity to the audience allowed Paul to play in a very relaxed atmosphere; the collaboration with The Les Paul Trio was excellent, making for a fantastic night for fans. As a bonus, the disc includes six songs from a studio live session recorded at a radio station on January 14—the day before the Japan tour began—presented via a soundboard (SBD) source. Although the main show is an audience recording, the venue's small size results in a direct, well-balanced sound. You can fully enjoy the performance from the opening MC all the way to the end.
