This is a rare live recording from Peter Green's later period. Peter Green is best known for his time with the blues-rock band Fleet Mac. His playing can be heard on various items, and he is known as a blues roots guitar hero alongside Eric Clapton and Johnny Winter. This recording is from a 2002 live performance with his own band, and while calling him a guitar hero might be a bit of a stretch here, the charm lies in his return to his roots and his mature, refined sound. Nevertheless, the inclusion of nostalgic and delightful selections such as 'ALBATROSS', 'THE GREEN MANALISHI', and 'BLACK MAGIC WOMAN' (more famously by Santana) is a welcome bonus. The recording is primarily from the soundboard, but the latter half is missing and has been supplemented with audience recordings. More precisely, the audio switches to audience recordings midway through the first track on Disc 2, "I NEED YOUR LOVE SO BAD." Therefore, Disc 1 consists entirely of soundboard recordings, while Disc 2 contains the supplementary audience recordings.
