Outtakes often leak out. It's believed that sample tapes or CDs are given to record company associates, who then leak them, eventually reaching us fans as bootlegs. This special edition features rare samples that Prince only provided to his associates. We've remastered some of them and released them as a 4-disc set! Featuring previously unreleased takes and tracks, this is a must-have collection of rare outtakes for fans! First up is the I'll Do Nothing EP. While previously released on Platinum and other labels, the sound quality is vastly improved, the arrangements are completely different, and the timing is completely different from previous outtakes. This is a groundbreaking compilation of 18-minute tracks, I'll Do Nothing, compiled as an EP for the soundtrack of a film. Next up is the Paisley Park in-house CD of Come! Unlike the official Come, it begins with the mysterious moaning of Vanity from "Poem," and features early versions of "Interactive" and "Endorphine Machine," with more rockish arrangements than the official Gold Experience versions! These opening three tracks are completely different versions, only available here. This is a fantastic alternate Come album, including the final track, "Strays of the World." Now, we've acquired the master recordings and fully remastered them, allowing you to enjoy a more vibrant sound! Next up is a rare session tape, known to diehard fans, finally available on CD! Recorded in the late '90s at a studio called Larrabee Sound, the tracks would later become Diamonds & Earls, but many recordings were never released. One of these was a maxi-single by New Power Generation, which was planned as either a 10-track, mostly remix album or a single with entirely new tracks. The five tracks featured here have been remastered from in-house tapes leaked during the production process. The exquisite connection between "My Tree" and "Eliminate the Negative," along with the edited endings for the singles, make it almost a shame these five tracks were never released as singles.
And Disc 2 features the fan-famous The Undertaker. This time, the master CD has been further remastered to deliver a more dynamic sound! "Dolphine" is a live recording, not a studio recording, and is a different take from the video. The Ryde Divine promo cassette has been remastered from advance tapes given to those involved! 35 minutes in total. This tape was distributed during a 1992 ABC TV program. It includes the Ryde Divine single edit mix, a George Clinton demo, and a Carmen Electra remix not featured on the single, making it a promotional edit! Next comes a miraculous recording: a rare sample demo not even mentioned in Uptwon or other sources! Prince had been in talks to write songs for Tina Turner in the summer of 1991, and recorded several tracks with Rosie Gaines and members of NPG. He recorded some of these on tape for presentations and gave them to those involved. One of these tracks is "Alice and Trouble." This is a completely unreleased track, never before heard, featuring Rosie Gaines on vocals, specifically designed for Tina Turner. It's a shame that the song only offers a glimpse of its greatness with a little over a minute of sample time, but it's definitely an up-tempo, funky track. Then there's Tip O' My Tongue, which he wrote for El DeBarge's Howard Hewett, and Prince's vocal version of Allegiance. The former is a completely new release, and the latter has a slightly different arrangement. Yet, these are just samples, barely a minute long. Yet they sound amazing!

Discs 3 and 4 are digitally remastered versions of the expensive promo CDs for The Crown Jewels and The Hits. The much-talked-about Ultimate, now discontinued, was released before that, but a best-of compilation album was released before that. Many of the tracks featured on The Crown Jewels were edited versions, making it feel like listening to a medley. The 16 tracks are freshly selected from the best of the best, remastered for a truly remastered sound! Furthermore, the best of The Hits album also contains some songs that overlap with The Crown Jewels, so please listen to it in comparison with The Crown Jewels and enjoy the core of the best of the promo CD.
