This collection includes previously unreleased mixes from multi-track recordings taken from the original masters, demo tracks not officially released, and rare 12" remix versions. A collection of rare tracks from the 1984 album "WORKS" to the 1986 album "Kind of Magic," presented with the highest sound quality thanks to the latest remastering.
This is the highly anticipated fourth installment of the latest rare collection, featuring only tracks not officially released!
This Vol. 4 begins with a different version of "Under Pressure" than the previous installment in the series. This "Naked Mix," with its simple mix focusing on piano and guitar, vividly highlights the vocals of David Bowie and Freddie, and is a must-listen. The tracks from the albums "WORKS" and "Kind of Magic" are primarily extended versions not included in the latest remastered bonus tracks. Tracks previously only available as transfers from 12" vinyl are included with the clean sound of the latest remasters, making this a must-have for collectors of officially unreleased material in the best possible quality. "It's a Hard Life" and "I Want to Break Free" also feature unique mixes made possible by the multi-track recordings.
Furthermore, the Hollywood mix of "Thank God It's Christmas," with its slightly longer intro, and the promo-only "Hammer to Fall" are also valuable. Additionally, the demo recordings of "There Must Be More to Life Than This" and "You're the Only One," featuring a duet between Freddie Mercury and Michael Jackson recorded around the same time as the Queen sessions, are also noteworthy. Finally, the album includes the officially unreleased "New York, New York" from the film soundtrack. This is a now-rare standard cover of a famous song made famous by Frank Sinatra, sung by Freddie Mercury. All of the tracks are previously unreleased on the latest remastered official releases, making this the fourth installment in a series of highly recommended "deep" rare track selections that are a must-have for any Queen collector!
