“Down To This release couples two concerts from the 1980 European tour accompanying the release of "Earth": the January 30th show in Bremen, Germany, and the February 26th show in Manchester, England. The January 30th Bremen concert, included on Discs 1 & 2, is an exceptionally high-quality recording for an overseas concert during Graham's era, and is almost complete. The sound is very clear and immersive, with excellent balance and separation. The February 26th Manchester Apollo Theater concert, included on Discs 3 & 4, is from the same European collector who acquired the previously released Hanover concert master, and is a very rare, high-quality recording of a concert that has hardly ever been seen before. While the sound quality is inferior to the Hanover and Bremen concerts, Ritchie's guitar is very clearly audible, Graham's vocals are good, and it is a high-quality recording with good balance and separation for a recording from this period. There is a tape change on Disc 4 during "Lost In Hollywood," and the beginning of "Guitar Solo/Beethoven 9th" is missing. Additionally, the final track, "Long Live Rock 'n' Roll," fades out. This item features high-quality sound recordings of two shows from Graham's popular 1980 European tour at a low price.
