This release features a recording of Rory Gallagher's first Japanese performance in 1974, specifically the January 25th show at Nakano Sunplaza in Tokyo, Japan. While Rory Gallagher's 1974 album "Live in Ireland" is beloved by many fans, this was his first Japan tour following the highly successful European tour that recorded that album. A total of five shows were performed, and this item captures the second Japanese show. The performance is incredibly polished and powerful throughout, showcasing impressive guitar work that could easily have been released as an official Japan show if it had been recorded. A bonus track features a BBC studio live recording in SBD format.
