This is the third installment of the Live Archive Collection, bringing together records of the sensational 1963 Beatles concert in the UK. This set includes the complete SBD version of "It's the Beatles," the live show that took place at Liverpool's Empire Theatre in December of that year and aired on the BBC. It also includes a DVD featuring over two hours of rare, unedited material, primarily from surviving footage, from the first live color video, "The Beatles Come to Town," as well as complete versions of TV shows and "Juke Box Jury"!

The audio CD features the complete 2015 remaster of the December 7, 1963, concert at Liverpool's Empire Theatre, said to be the oldest complete SBD recording of The Beatles' live performance. While the video footage is incomplete, this historic live recording offers the best possible quality, miraculously recreating the entire album. It also includes original live recordings from "The Beatles Come to Town" and "The Morecambe and Wise Show." Extra tracks include "Till There Was You" from "Pop Go the Beatles #13," a previously unrecorded track, not even available on official BBC live albums. This newly unearthed recording represents a new discovery never before available on BBC-related items.

The DVD also includes the first live color footage of "The Beatles Come to Town," recorded in Manchester by PATHE News on November 20, 1963, remastered in 16:9 widescreen and the original 4:3 cropped news footage. The following "Late Night Extras" section features the familiar BEATAX camera cuts "I Want to Hold You" and "This Boy," as well as a complete Ken Dot interview, making this the highest quality release yet. While not as complete as the audio recording, the second half of "It's the Beatles" from the Liverpool Empire is included in the best available edit. While portions of the TV show "Morecambe and Wise Show" from this period have previously appeared on "Anthology," it's here in its entirety. Extra features include rare, never-before-seen, unedited material from "The Beatles Come to Town" and alternate footage from "It's the Beatles" at the Liverpool Empire Theatre. "The Beatles Come to Town" includes the complete, untrimmed widescreen version, plus a wealth of rare, unedited footage, and a newly edited version with audio restored to the original silent film. The alternate footage of "It's the Beatles" also includes incomplete segments not included in the main feature, and the final song, "She Loves You," is also in high-definition quality. The DVD concludes with a slideshow of the complete BBC TV show "Juke Box Jury," recorded before the live performance at the Empire Theatre on December 7th, the same day as "It's the Beatles." While there is no existing footage and it can only be viewed through photographs, this is a complete reproduction of the audio from this program, which has never been released on CD. While the Beatles themselves aren't performing, it's a valuable record of the Beatles' appearance on a variety show, introducing various songs, including Elvis and Merseybeat.
