This release captures the Warren Haynes Band's live performance from their 2012 US tour, recorded on April 18 at the Greenfield Park Amphitheater in Wilmington, NC. As his work with Gov't Mule was set to begin in May, this tour represents his solo band's activity for the first half of 2012. It is truly impressive to see him juggle multiple bands with distinct concepts while never compromising on the quality of his playing; this release, too, delivers a moving, passionate, and bluesy performance. The relaxed atmosphere of his solo band might well be the setting where Warren Haynes is most authentically himself. Regarding sound quality: although it is an audience recording, the balance is excellent, offering great clarity and a vivid sense of presence.
