This performance at Nippon Budokan on May 22nd, the band's second tour in Japan following the release of "52nd Street" in 1979, was recorded directly from the label's original master cassette, a highly immersive, high-quality audience recording that is not available online or among traders. This Japan tour only took place at the Budokan on May 21st and 22nd, and recordings of those dates are extremely scarce. While there are several recordings of the opening performance, the final performance is almost entirely unavailable. This high-quality recording makes this the definitive edition. The direct recording is so striking that it's hard to believe it was recorded at the Budokan back then, allowing you to enjoy Billy's dynamic and energetic performance, unique to this period.
