This album features two 1974 live performances by Herbie Hancock's Headhunters. One is a studio recording from a Bremen radio studio, recorded with soundboards but with a limited set due to broadcast time. The other is a live recording from Kansas City, an audience recording of exceptional quality for the time, making it a renowned recording among fans. The discs are not in chronological order because Herbie gives a lengthy speech after "SLY," the final track on disc one, creating a perfect interval. The setlists on each disc are perfectly consistent. Both have been remastered to minimize noticeable differences in tone.
