This album features the band's 2012 Japan tour, featuring the band's performances at Shinkiba Studio Coast, both nights of which were completely recorded with superb audience quality. This must-have item for fans features the highest audio quality, 24-bit digital remastering of the original, high-quality master from the XAVEL label. It captures the entire Tokyo concert, a highly anticipated event in which the band performed every song from the two-disc singles album "National Treasures" over two days.
Although it has already been announced that the band will take a break after the end of this tour to focus on solo projects, these two consecutive Tokyo shows delivered a moving, national treasure-level performance that seemed to sum up the band's career, playing a total of 43 songs across the two days! And with no duplicates whatsoever, it was a truly national treasure-level performance.
The first night, recorded on Disc 1 and Disc 2, features a total of 21 songs, opening with "Kyoraku Toshi no Kodoku" and closing with "Kagayakeru Sedai no Tame ni," and includes surprises like "Further Away" and "Suicide Alley." The superb sound quality makes this a truly satisfying listen. The second night, recorded on Discs 3 and 4, features a total of 22 songs, from "You Love Us" to "A Design For Life," plus surprise hits like "New Art Riot" and "P.C.P.". Opening act Gruff Rhys also appears on lead vocals for "Let Robeson Sing."
As a bonus track, Gruff Rhys' opening act is included after the main show on both nights.
