Nine Inch Nails, led by the solitary and charismatic Trent Reznor, have announced the end of their activities as NIN at the end of the year.

This release captures their legendary performance at Summer Sonic '09, the first day of the Tokyo festival on August 7th at Chiba Marine Stadium. The performance, a legendary moment that will surely be talked about for years to come, blended a sudden downpour with a frenzied, high-voltage energy, and was universally acclaimed as their best act. The recording is approximately 75 minutes long and fully captured.

High-quality matrix processing was applied to combine Trent's uncompressed in-ear monitor source used on stage with a superb audience source that shows no trace of the rain's influence.

This release magnificently captures the moment when Trent truly became a messenger of God, presented with superb sound production.

The sound image is perfectly stable and solid, the mix of Trent's vocals and instruments is incredibly vivid thanks to the in-ear monitors, and the performance is godlike, creating an indescribable sense of exhilaration. It's astonishing that this final show in Tokyo can be heard with such quality!
