This release captures the live performance from the opening night of Paul Rodgers' 1993 solo Japan tour, held on May 19 at Nakano Sun Plaza in Tokyo. This marked his first solo tour in Japan, taking place amidst the strong sales and great success of his album *Tribute to Muddy Waters*. The performance finds him in peak form, showcasing blues numbers and Jimi Hendrix covers that only Paul Rodgers could deliver with such authenticity. Neil Schon—then on hiatus from Journey—participates as a supporting guitarist, contributing superb guitar work to a powerful, top-tier live show. As a bonus track, the release includes three songs from an acoustic live performance held for FM radio staff just before the 1993 tour, sourced from a soundboard recording. Although it is an audience-style recording, the source material is of excellent quality, offering a clear, immersive, and consistently high-fidelity listening experience.
