One Nite Alone Tour Aftershow, Club Vega, Copenhagen, October 25, 2002

Prince's wildly popular ONA tour featured his most virtuoso performances, a constantly evolving setlist, and a robust aftershow. Among all the live shows, which one is the best in terms of sound quality and content? I'm sure many would answer this one. This is a soundboard recording of the after-show at Club Vega on October 25, 2002. When it was previously released, it was met with astonishment when the only after-show soundboard was leaked. However, since it was originally a line recording from the PA, it was released with the raw DAT sound without any remastering, including the balance of the instruments. This time, thorough remastering has resulted in a stunning live performance with a superb sound of incredible quality! Opening with Jimi Hendrix's Voodoo Chile, featuring Prince's sudden guitar riff, and then with even more Jimi Hendrix tunes on Who Knows, the guitars are at full throttle! The first half showcases the true essence of Prince's guitar playing, right up to the rare Take Five. Then, with the band uniting to create a funky groove that will have you in stitches, we see Brick House, Skin Tight, 777-9311, and Hair! The blows from Candy Dulfer and the returning Eric Leeds explode! Then there's the funky jams of Prince & The Band, whose arrangements were also raw and cool at the time, and a Copenhagen-themed rap over Prince's groovy backing track. The finale is as shocking as hearing Purple Rain at the end of Dolphin!
