This release captures a live performance by Stevie Ray Vaughan & Double Trouble from their 1989 US tour—specifically the August 21st show at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, Colorado. By this time, having cemented his status as a premier blues guitarist following the massive success of "Couldn't Stand The Weather," Stevie Ray Vaughan was at the peak of his artistic maturity. He was widely acclaimed by fans and actively collaborating with other artists. The performance itself is nothing short of magnificent—tricky, exciting, and deeply bluesy—drawing the listener in completely. As a bonus, the set includes six songs from the July 5, 1990 show in Stanhope, New Jersey (part of what tragically became his final US tour) that were not performed at the Colorado concert. Regarding sound quality, the '89 show features high-quality audience recordings (including five soundboard tracks) with excellent balance and fidelity.
