A must-have for Beatles fans: the "Acetate and Demos Master Collection." This third installment in the series, following the "Roger Scott Master Collection" and "John Barrett Master Collection," brings together previously unreleased test pressings and lacquers owned by Beatles members and associates, many of which contain acetate recordings of early demos and pre-official mixes. It also chronologically compiles unreleased demos. From the historic first recordings in 1958 that marked the beginning of the band's legend to the final recording sessions in 1969, this collection includes all surviving acetate recordings and key demos, as well as numerous rare recordings not previously included in studio outtakes. Many acetate records, originally reserved for insiders, have been auctioned and sold for high prices, but the surviving recordings released from among them are labeled "Direct from Acetate" and have been faithfully recorded with the needle sound intact. The low-generation sound quality is one of the attractions of acetate records, and familiar recordings such as Paul's demos "It's for You," "A World Without Love," and "Woman," as well as tracks from "Revolver," which have recently appeared at auction and attracted attention from fans as newly discovered recordings, have been newly remastered to deliver the best possible quality.
