The second installment of the BBC Collection celebrating the 50th anniversary of The Beatles' formation is here! This latest 2012 collection of BBC live recordings features newly upgraded material, including some never-before-seen recordings. It spans the entire chronological sequence, from the earliest surviving BBC recordings in July 1962 to the final BBC session in 1965. As the title suggests, this collection is an alternate master edition of the official "Live at the BBC" album, featuring previously unreleased material. While numerous BBC recordings have been released, this collection brings together newly discovered and upgraded recordings in recent years, making it a must-listen sequel to the official releases and a noteworthy complement to the BBC collection!

Following the first release, which featured the 2012 BBC rebroadcast of "At the Beeb," this is the second in a series of completely different BBC collections. While the first release, "Live at the BBC," was released in 2012 and featured both the UK and US versions of the 1982 BBC program, this alternate master edition of the 1994 "Live at the BBC" is a compilation of previously unreleased material, complementing the original release with a selection of previously unreleased material. Starting with rare covers from before their early EMI debut, the album features the earliest 1962 session recordings, a longer, skip-free debut of "A Taste of Honey," and "That's Alright," an upgraded version of the original, surpassing the official release in quality. Some tracks from the official release have been newly remastered, and the album also features newly discovered and upgraded versions of previously unreleased BBC material.
