The Pogue. This must-listen compilation features live soundboard recordings from 1985-88, spanning just under five years from the band's early days to the release of their landmark album, "Fallen Angel." The first and most compelling recording is the stereo soundboard recording from the band's 1988 Tokyo concert, their peak year. This legendary night, featuring "Fallen Angel," is fully captured in ultra-high quality, digitally remastered. Retracing the Tokyo performance as a single destination, CD2 (t-04) through CD3 chronologically tracks from their 1985 Ireland concert, their 1985 Sweden concert, and their 1987 Switzerland concert, concludes with "Thousands Are Sailing" from a March 1988 performance at London's Town and Country Club. Although there are some noise and drop areas due to the master, the entire album is an ultra-high-quality soundboard recording, so it will fully convey the history of the Pogues' golden age, which they walked along with their early trilogy, from "County Hell" to the booming oriental island nation. The bonus DVD includes live footage from the 1988 Tokyo performance, also newly remastered and recorded in high-definition pro shots.
