This is a recording of the one-night-only performance by the eccentric Tobias Sammet's metal opera project, Avantasia, at Shinagawa Prince Stella Ball in Tokyo on July 10, 2013, captured in the label's exclusive 24-bit original master. The entire performance, approximately 2.5 hours long, was recorded using the finest sound technology.

Although the PA system on the day was not ideal, the recorded sound was digitally remastered at 24-bit/96kHz using professional equipment, resulting in an incredibly clear, powerful, and direct sound quality that is unbelievably flawless considering the acoustics of the day.

While all the scheduled members, including Michael Kiske and Eric Martin, were present, Tobias Sammet contracted the flu in Canada before the Japan tour, resulting in a live performance under less-than-perfect health. This led to a rare version of "Avantasia" sung by the legendary vocalist Michael Kiske.

Furthermore, Eric Martin of the immensely popular American band MR.BIG sings traditional German metal, and a star-studded lineup of vocalists, including Ronnie Atkins of the Scandinavian metal giant Pretty Maids and Bob Catley of the British hard rock band Magnum, deliver a magnificent metal opera.
