This album certainly aims to include a complete collection of Prince's recordings, both on vinyl and CD. However, Fun With Vinyl is particular about sound quality. The recordings were played on a Technics SL-1200MK2 record player and then sent to a Sony PCM-R300 DAT tape player via a Yamaha RX-Z1 audio/video receiver. The audio was then imported to a PC using a Turtle Beach Catalina sound card and Cool Edit Pro software, where it was remastered, including the removal of clicks, and converted to digital WAV files. The sound quality is of the highest order. Another groundbreaking feature is the inclusion of edited versions not previously included in the Anthology series, as well as B-sides that were omitted because Prince was not involved. It also includes works by artists who were not involved with Prince, both before and after him.

This Volume 15 brings together the solo albums and remixes of Vanity and Apollonia, the frontwomen of Vanity 6 and Apollonia 6, the two female trios formed by Prince, after they left Prince. Divided into Part 1 and Part 2, this is Part 1.
