Hammersmith Odeon, London, England, January 19, 1981
In 1979, Ozzy Osbourne was fired while Tony Iommi was becoming the band's leader. The newly formed Black Sabbath welcomed Ronnie James Dio, who had left Rainbow and was on the verge of going solo. This footage captures a rare live performance from January 19, 1981, captured with a stunning audience shot from the right side of the stage. Released amid the NWOBHM boom, "Heaven and Hell," featuring Ronnie James Dio on vocals, was a hit album, combining speedy, medieval-style metal with Sabbath's signature heaviness. It was a resurgence in the band's momentum, and that momentum is reflected in their live performances, making it a joy to witness this incredible band in action. Enjoy this incredible performance, as the band finally solidified their bond towards the end of the Heaven and Hell tour!
