This release captures Buddy Guy's live performance from his 2012 North American tour, recorded on September 28 at the Red Robinson Show Theatre (Boulevard Casino) in Coquitlam, BC, Canada. The Canadian audience—who see him perform annually—is incredibly enthusiastic, and Buddy himself is in top form, hitting the ground running right from the start. His banter is clearly a highlight for the crowd; the laughter filling the gaps between songs adds to the excitement, while the performance itself delivers superb, bluesy guitar work from beginning to end. Although this is an audience recording, the venue appears to be intimate in size, resulting in a direct, powerful, and high-quality sound.
