WOODSTOCK-FAIRGROUNDS: MAX YASGUR'S FARM WHITE RIVER,
WOODSTOCK, New York. AUGUST 16, 1969
In 1968, CCR changed their name from The Golliwogs to Creedence Clearwater Revival, and their swamp rock cover, "Suzie Q," became a huge hit. From there, they launched their meteoric rise. This live performance at Woodstock, California, was recorded with the finest soundboard recordings! Previously released on Great Dane and other labels, this release features improved sound quality and a more complete recording! The band was short-lived, with only John Fogerty gaining popularity and the other members becoming fed up and quickly disbanding, so this Woodstock recording can be said to be CCR's representative live recording.
