In recent years, the "Mike Millard Tapes" have been increasingly digitized, either directly from the master tapes or from low-generation tapes. These tapes were recorded by Mike Millard, a taper familiar to fans for his exceptional audience recording skills. While this label has released several recordings using these newly digitized Mike Millard Tapes as masters, you may have noticed that there are two types: "Brushed Mike Millard Tapes" and "Legendary Mike Millard Tapes." Not all Mike Millard Tapes have perfect sound quality; some have considerable room for improvement. The "Brushed" series features significantly improved versions, while the "Legendary" series features tapes that were originally near perfect with little room for improvement, and only minor edits such as light transitions between tracks are made.

This time, we feature David Bowie from the "Legendary" series. This is a high-quality recording of the Los Angeles performance from the 1990 "Sound and Vision" tour. Almost no equalization adjustments were needed, only minor adjustments to the sound pressure and track ID placement. Following the release of "Never Let Me Down," the 1990s saw a series of best-of albums such as "Sound and Vision" and "Changes Bowie," and this tour can be seen as a culmination of their work up to that point. This particular performance features the rare "Panic in Detroit" from the tour.
